CE Testing on the Ouroboros rebreather

For you to purchase here in Europe the Ouroboros closed circuit rebreather has to comply with European law. The unit must be certified by a Notified Body as meeting the basic health and safety requirements of the PPE Directive 89/686/EEC.

There is a EN standard EN 14143:2003 for “Respiratory equipment- Self-contained re-breathing diving apparatus”. Compliance with this standard, accept for minor exceptions which are listed in the operations manual, was accepted in 2005 as meeting the directive requirements. This included extensive product testing.
